The Mini Cooper S - Paddy Hopkirk Works Evocation offered here at Autostorico is an original RHD Home market 1965 built example finished in the iconic colour combination of Tartan Red with a White roof. Purchased by its current Mini enthusiast owner in January 2004 the car underwent a no expense spared nut and bolt restoration, being built to emulate the iconic ‘Paddy Hopkirk’ Works specification. The owner entrusted the car to renowned Mini guru Richard Potter. Work started with the engine and running gear being removed from the body with all panels being made good or replaced prior to a bare metal respray. Attention then passed to a fully documented mechanical overhaul including the original windowed engine block and 11 stud head Copper S engine, being rebuilt to fast road specification (110bhp engine output). This included a VS2 camshaft, Big valve head, Lightweight flywheel, upgraded competition clutch, twin 1 ½ HS4 carburettors. The gearbox was rebuilt with 3 synchro and straight cut 1st gear, along with a cross-pin differential. Other notable works included overhauling the braking and suspension system, fitting a roll cage and sump guard, full re-wire, fitting Brantz International Pro 3 timer, Corbeau seats with four point harnesses, new wheels and tyres and

Supplied with an extensive history file including a current V5 registration document, MOT certificated valid until January 2024, numerous invoices, photographs and other related material.

A perfect opportunity to own such an iconic British classic, which will certainly appreciate over time.
