Mitsubishi Evolution

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation was created in 1917, when it produced the first series-production automobile in Japan. After 22 cars, production was interrupted, as the car was considered expensive compared to the overseas competition. Production resumed in 1960, with the introduction of Mitsubishi 500. In 1971, Chrysler acquired a 15% share of the company and helped it to increase its sales. Despite its financial problems, Mitsubishi still remains among the biggest auto manufacturers in Japan.
