Description
This beautiful Mini British Open is in very good condition! Version with Monte Carlo edition badges and striping. This Classic Mini was originally delivered in Italy and is one of the last series of Classic Minis.
It only had 2 owners since, the last one refurbished it in 2021 and gave it a coat of deep black paint, Minilight rims in Gloss Black and a beautiful electric open sunroof.
Expense nor effort has been spared on this Mini.
The mileage is 32,950, this is the odometer reading. This Mini British Open is also equipped with a powerful 1300-MPI Cooper engine with over 65 hp.
The Mini was originally supplied as a British Open, this version of the last series of Classic Minis is very popular and can be called a true convertible.
This British Open Classic was completely repainted in 2021 by the previous owner! In the colour black (original colour was green) this has been done very neatly and the Mini has no rust and/or damage!
The last owner used the Mini only as a wedding car and stored the Mini afterwards in a warm dry garage near Milan.
Exterior:
Beautiful deep black uni paint / lacquer, in very neat condition, fitted with new 12-inch Minilight Formula Competition rims which have a glossy black heart Cooper centre cap and new tyres. The paint / lacquer shows no signs of ageing and is in very neat condition, no damage, dents or other imperfections. The fender extensions are also painted in colour and black and have the original rubbers.
The chrome is like new, it has two neat stainless steel bumpers, a good, 9-blade chrome grill, green tinted windows with heating.
The Mini features Rally Monte Carlo badges, striping, wing badges and Union Jack badges on the A panels.
Interior:
In a very neat condition! The interior is characterised by the black half leather seats with black fabric upholstery and matching leather back seat with black piping and finish, the carpet is black and original, impeccable and equipped with a new original Cooper mat set.
The gear stick and handbrake cover are also made of leather! The dashboard itself is made of walnut which was originally supplied with the British Open, it is slightly aged), the clocks are by Smiths and have magnolia white dials. The steering wheel, equipped with airbag, is fully made of leather and finished in the same black leather colour as the piping of the seats, the gear knob is a Cooper S original. The flooring has a set of new original black Cooper mats with CW logo and finish.
The interior is finished from top to bottom, the headliner is in acceptable condition and has the normal signs of wear and as indicated, both the outside and the inside are very representative.
Mechanics:
The mileage of 32,950 is low, it was read from the dashboard! When you open the bonnet / engine bonnet, it is a feast for the eyes! More than 63 hp and only maintained with original parts!
The engine runs well, is equipped with an alarm with immobiliser, 4-speed manual gearbox and a gearbox that shifts well.
The heating also works fine just like all the electronics, such as lighting, windscreen wipers etc. Technically fully checked, valves adjusted, oil and filters refreshed and replaced, the suspension is perfect, with front disc brakes, brake booster and new fluids.
Bottom:
The bottom is in good condition, neatly restored in the past, the sills are neat and there is no rust or damage. Equipped with the original sub-frame and a good stainless steel, standard exhaust system with a cool sound! All brakes and lines are in good condition.
