The block had become unusable, an original MG TD block with double carburettors was mounted later. The oil pressure is 60 psi.

As this block has 2 carburettor and also some more power, the rear axle was adjusted and replaced by the rear axle of an MG A with matching transmission.

Much of the car has been addressed, for example the side sills have already been replaced and the rear wheel arches have been improved.

This is a solid car, not rusted through in any place. You may deservedly state that this is a rust-free car.

A lot of rubber has been replaced. The original parts and some extra parts will be included.

Replaced in 2018:

- Varta battery.
- Many rubber parts.
- Tailgate hinges.
- Penzoil oil.
- Coolant.
- Front tyres.
- Ignition fully restored.
- Fuel pump overhauled by a professional.
- SU carburettors both restored in 2019 by a professional and they work
great.

Also noteworthy:

- A nice set of wind-tone horns with new brackets will be included separately.
- Very rare set of wire wheels plus a spare wire wheel.
- Nice set of window-mounted Halcyon mirrors (mint in the box) will be included.

The headlining has been replaced and will need to be finished at the rear window. The wiring has not been finished completely, front and rear lighting yet to be connected for example.

The car has plenty of patina and is in a lovely ‘oil rag’ condition. It virtually has its entire first paintwork.

Less and less will remain and it is a fine investment especially at the interest rate of less than 0.1%

The car is virtually complete. An ashtray is missing in the right backrest.
