Description
Registered less than a week after the start of World War Two (in September 1939), by 1960 this MG was in the hands of an RAF officer in Bedfordshire, according to the buff continuation logbook. It has been owned by its last registered keeper for around 50 years. The MG was restored between 1992 and 1995.
More recent work has included new wheels and tyres plus remanufactured front door cards. The water pump has also been replaced. The MG starts first time on the button and selects gears nicely. The sweet 1500 engine runs really well with good oil pressure and even stops well.
Approaching 84 years of age this super stylish pre war gem is solid, complete and running nicely. Full of patena, exactly as a pre war car should be.
Paperwork with the car includes the V5C, buff continuation logbook, some details and photographs of the restoration work, old tax discs, old parts catalogue
The odometer shows 91,807 miles; the last MoT expired in September 2013 after having been tested at an indicated 91,549 miles. However, as an historic vehicle, the MG is now MoT-exempt. Paperwork with the car includes the V5C, buff continuation logbook, some details and photographs of the restoration work, old tax discs, old parts catalogue and sundry other paperwork.
Use it as it is or a fabulous basis for a nut and bolt restoration.
