In the early 1950s, despite the export success of the MG TD, the British manufacturer decided to update the TF model. To achieve this, the lines were refined and the body lowered. The headlights are integrated into the wings and the grille is slanted. The whole is more modern than its predecessor, and the very “pre-war” aspect of the TD is attenuated. Initially powered by the XPAG 1250 cc engine already seen on the TD, the TF received the XPEG 1466 cc engine in 1954. Power increased from 54 hp to 63 hp, making the lightweight roadster even more capable on the road. Our 1955 MG TF is in beautiful condition. It has a lovely off-white color. The tobacco-colored interior, soft top, tonneau cover and leather straps that hold the luggage rack blend in beautifully with the color of the bodywork.
Since its acquisition in 2019, the engine has been completely overhauled by its owner and the springs replaced (invoices not available).
Above all, it is a left-hand drive version, making it a roadster with a timeless look.
