Description

The TC Midget was the first-post war MG launched in 1945. It was quite similar to the pre-war TB, sharing the same 1250cc pushrod OHV engine with a slightly higher compression ratio of 7.4:1 generating 55bhp at 5200rpm. This propelled the TC from 0-60mph in just over 20 seconds and onto a top speed just shy of 70mph. The TC’s body was 4” wider at the shoulder than the TB, providing a more comfortable passenger environment. A new suspension system featuring semi-elliptical leaf springs dampened by lever arm shocks, and rigid body-on-frame construction, the MG TC quickly became a favourite with racers around the world including the likes of Phil Hill and Carroll Shelby.

The MG TC offered at Autostorico is finished in Shires Green with its original Green leather interior trim along with Tan hood and Red wheels and grille. With a production date of 29th April 1947 this very original unrestored example has been well maintained during its lifetime, and has recently been subject to a comprehensive service which included a new clutch being fitted. Specification highlights include; Tonneau cover, side curtains and various tools.

Supplied with a history file including a current V5 registration document, numerous invoices and other related history.
