This classic car is for sale on Catawiki. To have more information or to place a bid click on the "BID NOW" button. .This MG TA ‘Midget’ is the first of the T-Type series. It was produced in just 3000 units (RHD only) and it was considered the car that give the idea for ‘Roadsters’ in the USA.

It was unused since 2005, its owner was too old to use it, and in March 2020 it received many documented works:

- complete overhaul of the braking system and brake pump, new front and rear small cylinders and brake shoes;
- overhaul of petrol and pump fuel system;
- interior with new carpeting;
- engine and carburettors checked;
- new stainless exhaust tailpipe.

The engine starts and runs well, it’s elastic. With compression test showing very good results (please see photos).

British documents show that it was re-imported in 1989 and only had 5 owners to date (4 until 2003 and the last one since 2003 in Italy). Since the import, it was fully restored and passed the first inspection in 1999 with 6051 miles. Following English inspections:
Inspection in April 2000 - 6824 miles.
Inspection in April 2001 - 7473 miles.
Inspection in April 2002 - 7801 miles.

Now it’s 9008, therefore it just covered 2957 miles in the last 21 years!

Chassis and structure are sound with a beautiful original patina (please see photos on the lift).
Bodywork is in the original ‘Reno Red’ colour, it was polished and retouched , and it has some imperfections (it’s an old restoration). It can be used without any worries. Measurement with feeler gauge has shown excellent results (as shown in photos). Original Jaeger instruments. Original ‘Bluemels’ ivory-coloured steering wheel.

Original MPJG engine block that was subjected to damages was replaced at the time with XPJMI rotation engine block produced since 1938, from which the XPAG engine of the next ‘TB’ series derived.
The number is correctly displayed on the production tags and vehicle registration certificate.

The car is complete with soft top and side windows in original English vinyl.

With the Aeroscreens options (small sports windows), by lowering the windscreen, you can also use it for competitions,the year 1936 gives convenient coefficients. In addition, max. speed states was 130 km/h, that was high for the time and can be still used today.
