Description

"Manufactured between 1967 and August 1969, the MGC was intended as a replacement for the Austin Healey 3000. The engines produced 145bhp and were fitted with twin SU carburettors. The bodyshell was revised around the engine bay and the floorpan, but externally the only differences between the MGB and the MGC were a distinctive bonnet bulge to accommodate the relocated radiator and a discrete teardrop to allow clearances for the carburettors.
This sporting version of Abingdons MG presents well in dark blue with a newly re-trimmed black leather interior and new, mohair trimmed soft top cover. Having undergone a full nut and bolt restoration in the 90’s, this MGC roadster has clearly continued to have a lot of expenditure lavished upon it. More recent works include new wire wheels, Yokohama tyres, electronic power steering, and a five speed gearbox conversion. The huge file of invoices also details the fitting of a stainless exhaust, a battery cut-off switch, an electronic ignition system, adjustable shockers and a new radiator. Included in the file is a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate. Offered to auction with a V5C registration certificate, this MoT exempt sports car is described by the vendor as tremendous fun and is ready to be enjoyed immediately."
