Produced between 1955 and 1962, the MGA made Morris Garages the leading manufacturer in the British sports car market. It was equipped with a four-cylinder engine displacing 1,500, then 1,600 〖"cm" 〗^3, delivering power ranging from 68 to 108 chevaux in the most sophisticated models. Eighty percent of production was shipped to the United States starting in 1955, where its top speed of 100 miles per hour and affordable price made it a highly popular, elegant sports car.
The example we are offering is a 1960 MGA 1600 Roadster. Originally from the United States, it was imported in 2011 and joined our owner’s collection in 2022.
It underwent a major restoration in France after its import; a comprehensive photo portfolio is available upon request (invoices not included).
This vehicle underwent a mechanical overhaul costing 5,000 euros in June 2026, including a new ignition harness, a set of rear shock absorbers, and engine maintenance performed by Jekyll Motors. The red upholstery is in good condition and complements the cream-colored body perfectly. Note that the soft top has a slight tear and that a few paint imperfections indicate a previous restoration. The test drive was successful, as evidenced by its passing vehicle inspection.
