THE PALMEN BARNFIND COLLECTION BY GALLERY AALDERING - AUCTIONED BY CLASSIC CAR AUCTIONS

— View the entire auction on www.classiccar-auctions.com —

The MG A Roadster Hardtop is a two-seater sports car produced between 1955 and 1962 by the British car manufacturer MG (Morris Garages). It was the roadster version of the MG A series. The MG A Roadster had a streamlined and elegant appearance with round fenders, a low center of gravity and a long bonnet. The design was based on the MG EX 1750 prototype and was designed by Syd Enever. The car had a folding roof and a small trunk at the rear. The interior was simple but functional and several options were available. The hard top was an optional feature for the MG A Roadster. It was a removable roof construction that could transform the open roadster into a closed car. The MG A Hard Top offered extra comfort and protection from the elements and was especially useful for those who used their MG A as a daily driver. The hardtop provided extra sound insulation and kept the passengers warm and dry in cold or wet weather. Today the MG A hardtops are highly sought after by classic car enthusiasts and collectors. The hardtops are rarer than the roadsters themselves and are often sought by those who wish to restore or upgrade their MG A. The MG A Roadster was a popular car in its own right and was also used in racing. It was one of the first sports cars to reach a top speed of more than 160 km/h and was praised for its handling and maneuverability. Today, the MG A Roadster is still popular with classic car enthusiasts and collectors because of its iconic design and its place in the history of British sports cars.

The cars on offer are part of a static collection that has been accumulated over the last 40 years. They are mainly in an unrestored, original but dusty condition. We have not tried to start any of the cars. We have been informed that the engines have been turned, on a regular basis, but the exact condition of the cars and the engines is unknown to us.

You can inspect the cars on the viewing days for which you have to make a reservation through our ticketshop - www.eventix.shop/xmxuc9fs.
