The MGA originated in 1951 when MG's in-house designer, Syd Enever, designed a streamlined body for George Philips' TD Le Mans car. The project does not initially come to a production car because when the prototype of the MGA is shown to BMC Chairman Leonard Lord, he has just signed a contract with Donald Healey for the Austin Healey project two weeks earlier. However, sales of the traditional MGs at that time, the TF, plummeted and the project was still allowed to start. In 1955 the MGA is a fact.

The MGA is a completely different car than its predecessors. The body is placed on a frame that is much wider. This allows the bottom plate and seats to fit between the frame instead of on top of it, creating a much lower and more modern car than its predecessors.

This beautiful MGA 1500 was first admitted to traffic in 1957. The creamy white paint looks very fresh on the MGA and has already been renewed in the past. The result is a very fresh body with neat sheet metal panel fittings. With a good search, you can find some minimal signs of wear, but that search must be done with a sharp eye. Details such as wire wheels, bumpers and lighting parts also look exceptionally neat. The interior is also very nice, with beautiful black leather upholstery with red piping. It looks authentic, is nice and flexible and the seats are wonderful. The floor covering has also been renewed.
The dashboard painted in body color looks neat and houses the beautiful Jaeger instruments. The beautiful, narrow handlebar with thin spokes fits wonderfully in the hand and invites you to many beautiful rides.

Those beautiful rides can take place with great confidence in the technology, because the car has recently been technically completely renovated. Invoices show that a sloppy € 10,000 has been invested in the last 1.5 years to get the car's technology like new again. A small list of things that have been renewed: tyres, brake, cooling and fuel hoses, shock absorbers, clutch and clutch cylinder, starter motor, steering box, wiring, fuel pump, valves adjusted, carburetors adjusted and so on for a while. Driving the MGA is therefore a very pleasant activity. The engine runs very nicely and the shifting is remarkably smooth.
Older invoices are also present so that a nice picture of the history of the car is created. In addition, there is a lot of documentation available, such as parts books and magazines.

An MGA as many people prefer to see it: a color combination that provides a beautiful classic contrast. Technology that is completely 'up to date' and driving characteristics that ensure the biggest possible smile.
