With Airstream representing the premium recreational vehicle brand in the United States, it was an obvious choice for them to develop a relationship with arguably the most reliable and well-apportioned motorhome manufacturer in Europe. The launch of the Airstream Interstate Touring Coach in 2004 was the beginning of a truly inspired collaboration with luxury & advanced engineering at its core. Originally built in Germany and supplied in Onyx Black, this example is based upon a 24' Sprinter chassis with robust twin Alcoa Dura-bright rear-wheels, remote-control air suspension and powered by a three-litre diesel engine with automatic gearbox. With fewer than 650 miles recorded, your driving experience benefits from numerous driving aids including lane assist, park-distance & cruise control. With entry via an electric sliding side-door, you are greeted with swathes of soft premium black leather seats (for nine) including rotating first & second row 'captain's-chairs' and here is where the magic really happens; the rear seats fold down electrically into a double bed with such additional conveniences as a wet-room complete with shower, WC, sink & roof vent. The kitchen area includes a built-in microwave and convection oven, fridge/freezer, storage-drawers, sink (with cover) and a fully adjustable table. All the windows have both day and night blinds for security and you can relax in front of one of the twin flat-screen Samsung televisions complete with Blu-Ray player, all lit by (dimmable) inset ceiling lights and wood-effect flooring. Temperatures are controlled by a domestic air-conditioning & heating system as well as an Attwood water heater. Externally, there is a built-in LPG tank with Cummins generator, an electric awning to the side with porch light, twin roof-mounted solar panels, a mains inverter charger and even an exterior shower. The suspension can even be adjusted if the parking is not quite level.

This particular 'time-warp' example was originally built for the South East Asian market but was actually never sold and so re-imported back here, hence the delivery mileage and, incredibly, it still maintains the protective wrapping on the appliances & floor. It should also be noted that it has not been used for some time and various liquids, operating systems and tyres ought to be checked prior to any distance driving although the condition is good the tread is deep. The sockets are 250v units but the plates can either be changed or UK adapters used. Included are a new set of front carpets making this fully equipped camper equally at home as a luxury day-tripper or for significantly longer trips, this luxurious RV allows any journey to be nothing more than a pleasure. The vendor notes the control board on the generator was diagnosed by a Cummins dealer as faulty; they are available from the US and was removed during diagnosis. It will be left in the boot for ease of repair for the next owner. Additionally, VAT will be liable upon the sale of this lot which can be subsequently claimed back if purchased commercially.
