Description

"The facelifted SL lost AMG's 5.4 L M113 in favour of the newer M156 6.2 L V8 used in the S63 AMG, CLK63 AMG and C63 AMG and produces 518 bhp with 465 lbfof torque. It can accelerate from rest to 62 mph in 4.6 seconds going up to a limited top speed of 155 mph. The SL 63 AMG also includes the new AMG-developed 7-speed MCT (Multi Clutch Technology) automatic transmission which instead of a torque converter, uses a compact wet start-up clutch to start the car off, and also supports computer-controlled double declutching and boasts 100 millisecond shifts in ‘M’ mode. The new Race Start function is a launch control system which enables the SL63 AMG driver to call on maximum acceleration, while ensuring optimum traction of the driven wheels. A modified version of the SL63 was the Safety Car for the Formula One seasons of 2008 and 2009.
Purchased on 6th June 2010, this one owner vehicle presented in metallic blue coachwork with magnolia cream interior,is a fine example of a very collectable Mercedes-Benz SL Facelifted R230. N10 EZE is an automatic, petrol car which cost £106,659 when new andwas specified with £3,674 of optional extras including exclusive Nappa leather, Designo Alcantara roof lining, Aand Cpillars and sun visors in Anthracite, comfort seats, Intelligent Light System, Universal Consumer Interface (UCI) and velour floormats with AMG lettering.
Presenting with a few external blemishes however, the trim inside is in good order with little sign of adverse wear and the 6.3 litre V8 started and ran well upon inspection. Paperwork with the car includes original book pack and order letters, previous MoT test certificates and various history including a Mercedes-Benz invoice for a gearbox recommissioning. The car has been dry stored since 2018 and thus has had some minor recommissioning but an A service would be advisable for the new owner.
SL63’s are rare and desirable to collectors and, with one owner from new and so few miles on the clock, this is a great opportunity to sit in opulent comfort with every conceivable electronic aid at your fingertips whilst having the power to light up the tyres, when required.
Guide Price £25,000 - £30,000Interested parties should note that this car has been in storage and recently recommissioned but the ESP warning light is currently active on the dashboard.
