The R129 generation of Mercedes-Benz’s R129 SL 600 represent the apex of the marque’s convertible range from its launch in 1992 until the R230’s introduction in 2002. It has become revered for its phenomenal build quality and engineering, as well as its classic Bruno Sacco lines.

Produced in May of 1997 and originally delivered to Japan, this particular SL 600 remained there until it was exported to Germany in 2016 and purchased by the consignor the following year. It is all the more special for its exceptional condition and full suite of AMG extras. These include 18-in. split rim alloy wheels, an exterior body kit, carbon-fibre interior trim, signature instrument dials, exhaust system, steering wheel and power pack for the M120 V-12.

It retains its classic Mercedes factory specification of Brilliant Silver with a black hood, over two-tone black and grey (extended) leather interior. Its matching hardtop accompanies the sale.

The R129 is fast becoming a modern classic, and the larger displacement versions are well sought after. This AMG fettled V12 SL 600 is well worth consideration.

Zehn Jahre lang, vom Launch 1992 bis zur Vorstellung des Nachfolgers 2002, stellte der SL 600 das Flaggschiff der Baureihe R129 dar. Noch heute werden Fertigungsqualität und Konstruktion ebenso bewundert wie das klassische Design von Bruno Sacco.

Dieses im Mai 1997 hergestellte Exemplar wurde neu in Japan ausgeliefert, wo es bis zum Export nach Deutschland 2016 verblieb. Im Jahr darauf wurde es vom heutigen Besitzer erstanden und in die Schweiz importiert. Besonders auffallend an diesem Modell sind der außergewöhnlich gute Zustand und die große Anzahl von AMG-Extras, darunter mehrteilige 18-Zoll-Felgen, Exterieur-Bodykit, Karbonapplikationen im Innenraum, AMG-spezifische Insturmente, Abgasanlage, Lenkrad und Power Pack für den M120 V12.

Ausgeführt in der originalen Farbkombination von brillantsilber 744 mit schwarzem Verdeck mit erweitertem Leder in schwarz und grau. Hinzu kommt ein farblich passendes Originalhardtop.

Der R129 ist inzwischen zu einem modernen Klassiker geworden, wobei die Versionen mit großvolumigen Motoren am gesuchtesten sind. Dieser AMG-getunte SL 600 V12 ist sicher einen Gedanken wert.
