According to its original window sticker on file, this 560 SL was dispatched to Foreign Motors West Inc. of Natick, Massachusetts, on August 23, 1989, for a retail price of $65,780. Sparingly used by its first owner, the 560 SL was acquired by its second caretaker, Joseph Federico of Dedham, Massachusetts, in 1997, showing just 3,911 miles.

Assuming ownership in 2018, the current owner treated the car to a professional refinish of the wheels and interior wood, returning them to the outstanding quality of the balance of the car. In the years since, the 560 SL has been carefully preserved and driven sparingly, showing just over 9,900 miles when catalogued.
