Description
"The Mercedes-Benz R107 and C107 models were manufactured from 1971 through to 1989 and were the longest running production models after the G-Class. They were sold under the SL and SLC model names as the 280 SL, 280 SLC, 300 SL, etc. up to the 560 SL. The R107 roadster has been described as one of the best looking Mercedes-Benz cars produced to date. The larger, third generation SL, initially with just a 3.5-litre engine (350 SL) mated to four-speed automatic transmission. The car featured a two-door monocoque bodyshell with independent suspension all round, coil springs and anti-roll bar at the front, semi-trailing arms, coil springs and anti-roll bar at the rear. The power assisted steering was Daimler-Benz's own re-circulating ball system.
This is one of the best examples of this highly sought after model we have seen! It is presented in gleaming red with cream leather interior and comes with its factory hardtop. The car comes with electric windows, radio and a very good history file containing many invoices and old MoT test certificates, with its present MoT expiring on 22nd August 2024. The present vendor purchased this 300 SL five years ago and has dry stored it every year, servicing it every year and placing a new MoT on the car every year! The condition of this Mercedes-Benz is nothing more than superb, with the paintwork looking fantastic as is the cream leather interior. A pleasure to drive with the power coming from its smooth four-speed automatic three litre engine. The vendor is retaining his private registration and a new age related registration will be applied for. This is one SL Sports that really does need to be seen to be fully appreciated. Consigned by James good.
*Interested partes should note that the private registration is being retained by the Vendor and a new age-related registration will be assigned by the DVLA
