"Built between 1971 and 1989, the Mercedes-Benz R107 SL is a well and truly established member of the classic car club. These distinctive convertibles have classic styling and timeless Mercedes-Benz design cues. Legendary German build quality makes this model one of the most usable modern classics money can buy. A good example with an original factory hardtop will give year round driving.
This superb example of this highly desirable classic is presented in the one of the best colour combinations of Lapis Blue (rare colour at the time)  with grey leather interior and it also comes with a factory hard top and a hood in superb condition as it was renewed three years ago.  Being the top of the range SL Roadster at that time, this model comes with air conditioning, electric windows, Becker radio cassette and central locking. This car was restored over a four to five year period by the previous owner who was a Mercedes-Benz mechanic and this was carried out between 2007 and 20011/12. This restoration is documented in a photographic album which can be seen on file, in addition to that, there are receipts of approximately £26,000 to £27,000 which are also in the history file. This particular Mercedes-Benz is probably one of the best examples of this model we have seen and looks absolutely superb"
