We have a wonderfully restored 1981 Mercedes-Benz 380SL. It was originally supplied in the States and has been in the Netherlands since 2014. Over the last couple of years, the car has been restored in the Netherlands. Every receipt has been kept and adding everything up it transcends more than € 22,500.= was spent on preserving this R107 380SL.

The bodywork is in very fine shape. It has nice and thin, correctly aligned panelwork. The car was completely resprayed during the restoration work. The paintwork is in excellent condition and looks brilliant. The hood is similarly neat and secure. Both the bumpers and its brightwork are in very good condition.

During the restoration, the dashboard and some of the switches were replaced. The upholstery and carpets were professionally cleaned and sealed. The leather has a developed a lovely patina and is very supple. The heater unit and air-conditioning are completely new. The SL was quite a luxuriously equipped car in its day. The car has very comfortable seats, electrically operated windows and climate control.

Mechanically the car has been extensively maintained. During the restoration process, many new parts were fitted. A lot of the gaskets and bush seals have been replaced as a preventative measure. New belts, four new tyres were fitted as well a new water pump. Besides a full fluid exchange, the automatic system was flushed through.

In short, a nicely documented Mercedes-Benz R107 380SL both mechanically and visually in very good shape
