• Launched in 1980, the W126 S-Class offered 231bhp from its 5-litre V8 and set the standard for most luxury cars of the period

• Originally registered on 03/02/1988, this fantastic 500SE was subject to a comprehensive restoration between 04/07/2020 and 17/10/2020 by Midlands firm, Modern Classics. Fully documented with nearly 400 pictures, the final bill included 440 hours of labour @ £25/hour, £650 for second hand parts and £3,220 for new parts and materials, totalling £14,870 which seems very reasonable considering the standard achieved
• It was purchased by our vendor in April 2021 and judging by the MOT history has been used lightly covering less than 500 miles in his ownership
• Correctly stored and hardly used, it remains in a very similar condition to when the restoration was finished
