This stunning Coupe of the W126 series is a Swiss delivered example and was handed over to its proud first owner through garage Mon Repos in Lausanne on the 23rd April 1982. Considered the ultimate luxury coupe of its time, the 500 SEC boasted a most elegant paintwork in Lapisblue metallic combined with a mushroom Nappa leather interior, automatic gearbox, cruise control, electrically adjustable seats, electrically operated sliding roof, automatic air conditioning, headlight wash wipe system, ABS, airbag and more. All this resulted in an eye-watering new price of 80’000 Swiss francs. In 2015, with then 45’000 kilometres driven, the Mercedes was de-registered by its first owner and taken over by the vendor in 2016. He only drove his SEC sparingly and has now decided to reduce his collection. With 46’700 kilometres driven and only two registered owners, the Mercedes is in very good and very well-maintained original condition. The last Veteran MOT was completed in May 2022, allowing the noble Coupé to be registered immediately in most cantons.
