As shown on the manufacturers' delivery sheet from 25. July 1941, this very impressive Mercedes was delivered new to Consul Dr. H.Brosch of Laibach.

From there it was sold and registered in 1947 to a Mr. Rudolf Bindella of Zürich Switzerland. By mid 1950`s the car had again changed hands, but remained in Zürich. Extensive service and repair works have been carried out during that time, as can be seen from the original invoices.

In May 1958 the Swiss owner Mr. Lucien Preuss contacted Mercedes Benz in Stuttgart and asked for a general overhaul of the car there and in the following year the car came back to Mercedes Benz of Stuttgart Untertürckheim for a thorough overhaul that included the fitting of a new 3.4 litre engine from the works stock.
