Mercedes-Benz can trace its heritage back to the dawn of motoring when Daimler-Benz produced the world''s first internal combustion engine in 1885. The name Mercedes came from the daughter of one of Benz''s directors and was officially adopted in 1926, bringing together the two names. It was two years later that the 260 model was introduced. Designed by Dr. Ferdinand Porsche, its six cylinder engine had, as the model number suggested, a capacity of 2.6 litres (2,562cc), while the body styles available included a four door saloon and two and four door cabriolets.
This two door 260 Cabriolet C model is arguably unique in its originality. Manufactured in April 1930, it retains all original features including the paintwork and trim items. The body is finished in blue with a black leather interior which is in good conditi
