When Mercedes came knocking on Porsche’s door asking if they would mind helping them to shoehorn the SL’s 5.0 V8 into their humble E class, they gladly obliged.
The 500E quickly became the car of choice for the hurried captain of industry, and those who wanted to go very fast, but didn’t want to fuss about it.
This particular car is a first-generation model, sporting the trademark two tone paint, and the orange side repeaters.
It was delivered new in Germany and is in its original colour combination of Schwarz uni 040 over black interior.
The car will be sold with a fresh service from our Mercedes Benz classic workshop, and along with a new MFK (Swiss MOT).
