Description
This unique Mercedes E-class from the W124 series is a beautiful saloon: a rare 300E in a four-wheel drive, 4Matic version and fitted with virtually all available options!
Delivered as a new car in Germany and then moved to Spain due to relocation as a 'Jahreswagen' (year-old car) and now back as a 'Rentnerfahrzeug' (used car). All documented in the maintenance booklet.
Thanks to the mild climate, the bodywork is entirely rust free and has never had any rust either.
That is very unusual, as these models are highly prone to rust.
The engine starts instantly and runs quietly, the car steers and drives great, the gearbox shifts nicely.
In short, an E-class which drives sublimely, it is amazing how well these models drive: many modern expensive cars are still not able to match it.
Then there's the build quality. According to experts, these are the best cars ever made: built to last an eternity!
It looks fantastic in black metallic (colour code 199) with an almost immaculate black leather interior.
The options list is almost endless, this is a small summary: air conditioning, sliding roof, cruise control, electrically adjustable and heated black leather interior with 4 headrests and armrests, tinted glass, ABS, headlight wipers, electric windows, fire extinguisher, airbags, parking heater, etc.
It will be difficult to find a more complete car, especially in this condition.
The car was preserved well and entirely free of rust due to the warm and dry climate, cars as beautiful as this are not very common.
The car had a few scratches and minimal signs of wear all around, that’s why we had the car professionally resprayed and now it truly looks like new again.
In addition, the transmission was recently (2022) fully overhauled. The invoice for this is available (see the photos).
This unique W124 can be viewed and/or picked up in Herkenbosch, the Netherlands.
We try to describe the cars as honestly and correctly as possible but they remain used vehicles, there may always be something that needs attention or shows signs of wear, which is inherent in used items.
It is advisable to come and view the vehicle before placing a bid to avoid disappointment afterwards. Please contact Catawiki to schedule an appointment. This Classic Car is for sale on Catawiki. To have more information or to place a bid click on the "BID NOW" button.
