"The W123 Series surpassed the W114 model range as the most successful Mercedes-Benz ever selling 2.7 million units before production ended in the autumn of 1985 for the saloon versions. Electronic fuel injected engines were introduced in 1980 making the cars faster and more reliable with all cars fitted with power steering from 1982. The build quality at the time set new standards in its class and the W123 compounding the reputation of Mercedes-Benz for engineering advancement and design.
With only 66,309 miles on the clock, this Mercedes-Benz 230 E is only just run in! This Mercedes was purchased new by the owner in April 1984 and has been owned by him ever since. The car was serviced by Mercedes-Benz main dealers until 2017 and since then by local specialist, the history is comprehensive and is complemented by the owner’s manual, tool roll and complete set of keys. The bodywork is generally in good order but would benefit from a good detail which is unsurprising as the car has, when not being driven, always been parked in a private garage, the blue cloth seats and complimentary trim is also in very good condition. This 230 E is supplied with a V5C registration document, a new MoT test certificate and is for sale without reserve.
