MERCEDES-BENZ 230 CLK KOMPRESSOR CABRIO W208 (2000) CHASSIS N°WDB2084471T050893, ENGINE: 4 CYLINDER WITH COMPRESSOR, DISPLACEMENT: 2295 CM3, POWER: 142 KW, BODYWORK: CABRIOLET, LEFT HAND DRIVE. The 208 series was the first CLK (which stands for Coupé Light Short), produced as Coupé and Cabriolet after the series 124. This time around, it was not based on the E Class, but on the smaller C Class. Consequently, it was a sophisticated motor car, which nevertheless shared its oily bits with models produced in great volume. The Cabriolet version was launched in 1998, and the next year it was already modernised with sophisticated accessories which pushed it even higher in the Mercedes lineup. The car on sale today is fitted with the more powerful engine, with almost 200 bhp, and is a good blend between the typical Mercedes comfort and luxury and the compact dimensions more enjoyable on European roads. For the traditional Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts, it also have the irresistible charm of the lobe compressor, as used on the classic SSKs and Silver Arrows. With just 142,000 kms (less than 89,000 miles) it is nicely run in and in very good conditions. This vehicle is in good original mechanical condition but for safety reasons, we advise the purchaser to have it checked over and to replace the fluids, filters and perishable elements.
