The Mercedes-Benz AMG GT Speed Legend is the brainchild of Ronald A. Bussink, a visionary product designer renowned for his expertise in amusement rides and leisure facilities. This awe-inspiring creation is based on the Mercedes-AMG GT R Roadster, a model limited to a mere 750 units worldwide. Bussink collaborated with the engineering team at HWA AG in Affalterbach to bring his extraordinary vision to life—an open-top version of the GT Roadster that pushes the boundaries of design and performance.

The defining feature of the Speed Legend is the captivating "Speedbow" that elegantly stretches from the hood to the rear of the car, drawing inspiration from the protective halo seen in Formula 1 racing. This unique design element not only adds a distinctive aesthetic touch but also incorporates essential lighting and sensor components that would typically be lost with the removal of the roof and windshield.

To achieve this visionary design, the convertible top is entirely removed, and the A-pillars and windows are shortened, resulting in a weight reduction of 220 pounds and a lowered center of gravity. Bussink goes even further by adding stylish louvers and body-color-painted carbon fiber elements throughout the car, enhancing its visual appeal and aerodynamic performance. Moreover, Bussink offers an optional power upgrade, elevating the output to a staggering 850 horsepower, surpassing the stock 577-horsepower figure from Mercedes-AMG.
