Description

Imagine floating over the road on a cushion of air-yet retaining perfect control under all conditions. Stop imagining. – Mercedes 1967

Trademark suits and little black dresses, timeless design that is still popular today. – We hear you thinking. Is this about the 600? Also, but mostly about its first owner. Coco Chanel. A woman, who like this car, was terribly “ownable” and didn’t care about her surroundings. And that comes pretty easily while glorifying infinitely deep leather seats, chrome and lacquered walnut, we can tell you. It was the only car ever in the Mercedes stable that was not developed with an eye to cost.

Everything breathes abundance. A 6.3 V8 in the front, self-balancing air bellows on your struts, 115 liters of plush stuff in the back and of course everything pneumatically controlled inside. Why not electric? Everyone does that, so Mercedes thought that was gross. They created a special system whereby all the closures, racks and mechanisms in the interior worked on oil pressure. Normal pressure? Of course not! The system operates at about 135 bar pressure(!). You got m through, the 600 is ideal for bragging rights at the pub.

After Coco traded in the 600, he ended up with another legend, Jamiroquai, via a Dutch collector. Virtual Insanity, this Cosmic Girl! A remarkable Mercedes 600 Pullman with an even better story. Completely unrestored, very well maintained and recently completely checked technically for over 30,000 euros and where necessary revised by the specialist.

Are you a James Bond villain, a dubious political leader or do you, like us, just love this car? Then we’ll see you soon.
