History:
Designed by, among others, Paul Bracq, the 300 SE W112 is the flagship of the Mercedes-Benz range of the 1960s and the direct forerunner of today’s S-Class. The coupe, produced in fewer than 2,500 units, is distinguished by the absence of rear quarter pillars and door pillars, which makes the cabin almost panoramic, and by an exceptional level of equipment for the era: air suspension, power steering, automatic gearbox, sunroof and front and rear armrests, etc.

This example was first registered on 1 July 1963. Our client bought it in 2017 from Mercedes Monaco.

The car underwent a complete restoration. The body was stripped and mounted on a rotisserie for interior and exterior repainting. The running gear was removed and treated, the upholstery, cabin, wood trim and instrumentation were redone, the mechanicals were fully overhauled, including a rebuilt engine, and the air suspension was replaced. A photo file of the restoration attests to the quality of the work.

Since then, the car has been regularly maintained by a specialist workshop.

Condition:
This Mercedes-Benz 300 SE is in excellent overall condition.

🚘 The bodywork wears a metallic grey that takes on slight green reflections in the sun. The paint presents very well, as do the glass and the chrome trim.

The cabin is trimmed in high-quality brown leather, true to the original, and enhanced by magnificent wood trim and chrome. The whole is in excellent condition and all the instrumentation works.

⚙️ The car is in very good working order. The M189 six-cylinder starts instantly and delivers its full power, and the gearbox shifts smoothly. Major work was carried out in 2023, detailed below and supported by invoices.
