What an exceptionally cool Mercedes 230 SLK Kompressor. You rarely comes across them!

It is a fairly unique car from the pre-series and differs in terms of details from the later production versions.

The very low chassis number (000408) in particular shows it is a pre-series car.

This compact convertible (factory designation W170) was a completely new path for Mercedes and it became a resounding success from the start: a compact convertible with a fixed roof in one, and of course Mercedes quality!
This car was taken by an older couple to their country house in southern Italy which explains the extremely intact and completely rust-free bodywork.

The underside (see photos) is exceptionally nice for this type which is actually very prone to rust.

The version is very complete with almost all options from the two-tone leather with seat heating to the air conditioning and cruise control.

It has an original Becker radio / CD with navigation.
It drives sublime and has beautiful paintwork with no rust.
The roof has a leaking cylinder which will have to be checked.
