Description
"DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL, THIS LOT HAS BEEN WITHDRAWN FROM THE AUCTION
Matchless is one of the oldest British motorcycles marques, manufactured in London between 1899 and 1966. A wide range of models were produced under the Matchless name, ranging from small two-stroke engines to 750cc four-stroke twin cylinder models. Matchless had a long history of racing success; one ridden by Charlie Collier won the first single-cylinder race in the first Isle of Man TT in 1907.
Originally registered on 1st June 1961 this Matchless presents in delightful condition. Having formed part of a private collection in recent years, this motorcycle has only had four keepers in total from new. Supplied with a V5C registration document we are advised this motorcycle is in good running order and will be presented for an MoT test prior to the auction.
