Description

Named after the famous Florida racetrack the Sebring pays homage to the Maserati racing pedigree and the big GT car was made to capitalize on the many Maserati victories in motor sport. The body by Vignale and the fabulous straight six engine with twin spark cylinder head coupled to a 5-speed all syncro ZF gearbox was a sure recipe for a powerful and highly elegant GT car of the 1960s.

Chassis number AM101*1867 with its matching numbers engine with Maserati certificate No 52/2011 showing that it was delivered new through Maserati dealer Cornacchia Automobili in Milano to its first owner. The color was Argento Auteuil (silver) with red Connoly leather. It had also the rare factory option of spoked Borani wheels. The car was re-engineered by an Italian Maserati specialist to run on effective Weber carburetors, but the original Lucas mechanical fuel injection accompanies the car.

The ownership changed from Italian to Danish in 2007 and this highly attractive series 1 still has its original Italian registration papers and also the current Danish.
