The Maserati Quattroporte Series 1: the fastest sedan of the sixties. At the beginning of the 1960s, Giulio Alfieri launched a new project. Due to the success of the Maserati Gran Turismo, the brand began to focus on a sedan. Naturally, the new Quattroporte ("four doors" in Italian) would be as elegant, refined, powerful and capable as all the other models bearing the trident. With a top speed of 230 km/h, it was the fastest production car of its time. Pietro Frua took his design inspiration from the 5000GT and the body was built by Vignale. The car had a modern self-supporting body with tubular supports instead of the traditional round tubes and a 4.2L V8 engine derived from the 5000GT. The Maserati Quattroporte Series 1 was one of the first luxury sedans to combine sporting performance with a high level of comfort and luxury. The model was very successful for Maserati and is still considered an iconic car in the brand's history. It can rightly be called a rarity, as only 252 were produced.

The cars on offer are part of a static collection that has been accumulated over the last 40 years. They are mainly in an unrestored, original but dusty condition. We have not tried to start any of the cars. We have been informed that the engines have been turned, on a regular basis, but the exact condition of the cars and the engines is unknown to us.

Viewing days:

Due to the expected high attendance, you will only be able to visit a viewing day if you purchase an admission ticket. Registration for a viewing day is required. Buy an admission ticket - www.eventix.shop/xmxuc9fs. You can then choose a time slot on one of the viewing days. You must attend within this time slot, but can stay longer if desired.
