Description

1966 Maserati Mistral Spyder 4000

Designed by Pietro Frua and engineered under Giulio Alfieri, the Mistral was the first Maserati to be named after a wind. Its ultimate evolution was the 4.0-litre Spyder, powered by a 265 hp fuel-injected six-cylinder engine paired with a five-speed ZF manual gearbox.

This car is one of just 37 Mistral 4.0-litre Spyders produced. Delivered new in Rome in 1966, it retains its matching-numbers engine and chassis.

The car was comprehensively restored in Italy by Rossocorsa and Bacchelli & Villa, before receiving nearly €50,000 of mechanical work by specialist Leo B. Pesch in 2022 and a further €85,000 of cosmetic work in 2024.

Finished in green over beige leather, it is accompanied by its rare original hardtop, toolkit, spare keys and a copy of its original delivery note supplied by Maserati Classiche.
