The Maserati Kyalami was unveiled at the 1976 Geneva Motor Show. It was named after the South African Kyalami race circuit to commemorate Pedro Rodriguez’s Formula 1 win around that track in the 1967 season behind the wheel of a Cooper Maserati. The Kyalami was designed and created under the ownership of Alejandro De Tomaso and was based off of the De Tomaso Longchamp. Maserati only made 200 examples of the Kyalami, making it a rare and collectible grand tourer. It was also the last Maserati that was designed by Pietro Frua.

The powerplant used was Maserati’s own 4.9L V8 which develops 290 BHP and can reach a top speed of 240 km/h. The Kyalami's engine was coupled to either a 5 speed ZF manual transmission or a 3 speed Borg Warner automatic which assists in delivering the power to the rear wheels. It also featured all round independent suspension as well as anti roll bars placed in the front and the rear, giving the Kyalami optimal handling characteristics.

This rare right-hand drive example of the Maserati Kyalami is a 1981 model which has been refurbished in recent months and been taken care of by Crossley and Webb. It has the 3 speed Borg Warner automatic transmission option and has a comfortable and well looked after high quality cream leather interior.
