Nestled behind the steering wheel sit the all important MC shift paddles, transforming the character of the car from comfortable cruiser to rapid sports car with the pull of a lever.

The grand touring moniker suits this car beyond most, as four people can happily arrange themselves in the car, even with taller passengers behind the front seats. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The F136 Modena derived engine develops one of the most glorious noises in production with a character that shifts depending upon requirements. The MC Shift gearbox provides silky smooth changes in fully automatic mode and lightning fast sifts once the manual paddles are engaged, with changes taking just 100 milliseconds. Entering sports mode unleashes the full force of the wet sumped V8, sharpening responses and increasing volume to exploit the full theatrical nature of the stunning atmospheric V8.

Maserati’s intention was to deliver a well-balanced and comfortable driving experience however with the engine pushed back behind the front axle, giving a 47 front / 53 rear weight distribution, the car also feels resolved and predictable when pushing on.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Complementing the Grigio Granito coachwork are the anthracite finish 20″ alloys which sit in excellent condition, free from any unsightly chips or scuffs having been recently refurbished. Matching Pirelli P Zero tyres still show plenty of life left with even tread wear.

With the recent replacement of the rear discs and pads, braking is consistent and progressive, with the yellow finish Brembo six-piston callipers hauling the car down from speed confidently and with a minimum of fuss.

HISTORY FILE
Supplied new by HR Owen on 27/05/2011, who also sold the car to the current owner in 2015, this Maserati GranTurismo S has been enjoyed sparingly by its 3 owners, covering just 38,478 miles to date. The original service book outlines services with the supplying dealer and specialists including SMDG Performance who carried out a major service on the car in May 2021 at 38,478, with an invoice totalling almost £2,000.
