In September 2010, Maserati announced the introduction of a new version of their Granturismo at the Paris Motor Show; the MC Stradale. This two-seater Maserati is stronger and lighter (110 kg) than the existing Granturismo. More aerodynamic thanks to a modified front and rear spoiler and air intakes in the bonnet. All this creates more downforce and improves cooling of the engine and the carbon-ceramic brakes.

The mc race-shift semi-automatic gearbox shifts in race mode even in 60 milliseconds and shares its electronics and some of the hardware with the Ferrari 599 GTO. This racing mode affects the gearbox operation, suspension, traction control and even the sound of the exhaust. The sound is considered to be one of the most beautiful in the car industry. This Stradale is also the first Granturismo to break through the 300 km / h barrier. Only 497 of the two-seater MC Stradale were produced between 2011 and 2013.
