Der 1966 in Turin vorgestellte Maserati Ghibli behauptete sich schnell als ernstzunehmender Rivale von Ferrari 365 GTB/4 „Daytona“ und Lamborghini Miura. Die SS-Version steigerte die Leistung auf rund 335 PS aus 4,9 Litern Hubraum und machte den Ghibli mit 280 km/h zum seinerzeit schnellsten Maserati-Straßenfahrzeug. Die von Giorgetto Giugiaro bei Ghia gezeichnete Karosserie mit langer Motorhaube und gestreckter Silhouette gilt bis heute als Sinnbild italienischer Sportwagenkunst. Von der Ghibli SS Coupé wurden weltweit nur rund 425 Exemplare gebaut.

Der hier angebotene Wagen mit identischer Fahrgestell- und Motornummer wurde gemäß vorliegendem Zertifikat im April 1971 fertiggestellt und in die USA ausgeliefert, 2013 nach Deutschland verkauft und gelangte in eine hochkarätige Maserati-Sammlung, in der er sich bis heute befindet. Laut vorliegender Rechnungsdokumentation wird er seither laufend von Maserati-Fachbetrieben gewartet und perfektioniert. Dieser Ghibli SS präsentiert sich in eleganter Farbkombination in Blau metallic mit schwarzer Lederausstattung in einem herausragenden Zustand.

Description:
Unveiled in Turin in 1966, the Maserati Ghibli quickly established itself as a serious rival to the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 ‘Daytona’ and the Lamborghini Miura. The SS version increased output to around 335 hp from 4.9 litres of displacement, making the Ghibli, with a top speed of 280 km/h, the fastest road-going Maserati of its time. The body, designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro at Ghia with its long bonnet and elongated silhouette, is still regarded today as an icon of Italian sports car design. Only around 425 examples of the Ghibli SS coupé were built worldwide.

The car offered here, with matching chassis and engine numbers, was completed in April 1971 according to the certificate on file and delivered to the USA, sold to Germany in 2013 and entered a top-tier Maserati collection, where it remains to this day. According to invoice documentation on file, it has since been continuously maintained and perfected by Maserati specialists. This Ghibli SS presents itself in an elegant colour combination of blue metallic with black leather upholstery and is in outstanding condition.
