- First mid-engined Maserati
- Delivered new in Italy
- Rare in this condition
- Original engine

At the 1971 edition of the Geneva Motor Show, meeting place for the most beautiful cars in the world, hosted the prototype of the Alpine A310, a few Monteverdis and, above all, the Maserati Bora. The first Maserati with a mid-engine and monocoque structure, the Bora was designed by Ital Design and is in line with the Italian supercars of the 1970s. Both modern, elegant and aggressive, the Bora featured the four-cam V8 in its 4.7-litre version, mated to a five-speed ZF gearbox. In August 1973, the year of the first oil crisis, this magnificent example of the 4.7-litre Bora was delivered to its first owner in Italy, in Naples, as indicated by its original libretto coming with the car. The seller acquired it eight years ago in Italy and had it serviced by the excellent Mugello specialists in Hilversum in Holland. They focused on the hydraulics, which worked perfectly during our test. The car has kept its superb interior upholstered in black leather, its carpets are in very good condition and the bodywork seems sound. Its paint is superb, and its stainless-steel roof is immaculate. This is a beautiful example of these timeless GTs, signed by Giugiaro.
