Description

Lotus Elan 26R

First launched in 1962, 26R was the designation given to the racing version of the Lotus Elan which was developed from the road car with improved suspension, steering and brakes as well as squeezing more power from the Ford Twin Cam engine.

Lotus Elans were driven by some of the greatest racing drivers of the period, including Jackie Stewart, Jim Clark and Sterling Moss. They were incredibly successful at Club level and even raced at LeMans.

This car has been built from a new Tony Thompson chassis and a Safety Devices roll cage. It has just been completed as a race car built to FIA Appendix K Specification with a new Racing Fabrications engine, zero miles differential and gearbox andf a new fuel cell, brakes and wiring loom.

Complete with new FIA HTP Papers and ready to race in 2017.
