"The first generation Range Rover was produced between 1970 and 1996. The original car was not designed as a luxury-type 4x4; while certainly up-market compared to preceding Land Rover models, the early Range Rovers had fairly basic, utilitarian interiors with vinyl seats and plastic dashboards designed to be washed down with a hose.  Features such as power assisted steering, carpeted floors; air conditioning, cloth/leather seats, and wooden interior trim were fitted later. The Range Rover was a body-on-frame design with a box section ladder type chassis similar to contemporary Land Rovers. The Range Rover utilised coil springs as opposed to leaf springs, permanent four-wheel drive and four-wheel disc brakes and was originally powered by the Rover V8 engine. 
This delightful Range Rover spent most of its life in Guernsey. It was supplied by Ruette Bray Motors Ltd on 2nd February 1988 and was sold to George Eborall on 18th August 1989. He kept the car until he passed away in 2015 when it was sold to the current owner. The car was kept in Guernsey by the vendor until October 2018 when it was repatriated to the mainland. The main reason for bringing the car back was for the comfortable driving position following a hip operation. The vendor states this is one of the most comfortable cars he has driven. The current mileage of 48,256 is warranted, although the history folder has been misplaced, the original handbooks and toolkit and jack are present with the car. Finished in the popular colour combination of Caspian Blue with grey velour interior this very original Range Rover Vogue is supplied with a V5 registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until 2nd February 2023. Range Rover Classics are becoming sought after, it is rare to find one in such sound condition."
