English and so avant-garde: the Range Roger is as famous as the Mini! Charismatic look, comfort, volume impressive cargo capacity, fighter aircraft performance (compared to its contemporaries) and especially very snobbish! Pioneer of the genre, he has what it takes to seduce and will meet a gigantic success. with a wealthy and offbeat clientele in search of a real automotive "Swiss Army knife"! Nearly half a century later, it is no longer alone in the world, but it remains the absolute "must" of its category. The model we present (model 2 door RR200D) is simply a first hand, bought in 1988 at Alsace Auto in Colmar as indicated by the service book in our possession. Francis Staub, a fan of the model to the point of still using a similar 5-door model for its daily journeys, remembers using it in the region but also in Paris in the 90s, the trunk full of the pots of his creation. « Unfortunately, the arrival of the microwave had considerably slowed down my business before induction made its appearance in the good kitchens of France, so he stayed here as a service car for the management team. I think it didn't go much further than Strasbourg! »
The "Classic" series is a two-door model equipped with the rare 5-speed manual gearbox. The most sought-after version of the genre, its bodywork elements are perfectly aligned as well as the original colour, which is also well preserved. The windows are all engraved with the original registration number is in the passenger compartment, the quality of the overall invites to the trip. The seats are in very good condition, as are the beige carpets and the roof canopy. The dashboard and centre console are impeccable, with no visible signs of wear or damage, cracks or chips in the plastic. Behind the wheel, it is clear that the 1.9T weight of the vehicle are brought with brio and in royal comfort. High perched on its 16-inch wheels (which seems very small today) its behaviour and braking do honour to the standing of the beast.
