"The Land Rover Defender was launched in 1948 and, incredibly, production only finished in January 2016 after a continuous run of 67 years. Outwardly, there is little to distinguish the post-1983 vehicles from the Series III Land Rover. A full-length bonnet, revised grille, plus the fitting of wheel arch extensions to cover wider-track axles are the most noticeable changes.
This impressive looking Defender was registered in March 2015 and presents well in the most popular colour for the model of Santorini Black. The fact that this is no ordinary Land Rover is hinted at from first glances with the colour coding and the upgraded black ‘sawblade’ alloy wheels. Open the door and an impressive level of tailor-made upgrades become obvious. The specialists at Bespoke have taken the already top of the range model and added close to £40,000 of upgrades. Included in this well thought out list are a six-speed automatic gearbox with electronic park brake from renowned specialists J E Automotive, a Stage 2 Performance Enhancement, a dynamic handling pack with Bilstein shocks, lowered springs, anti-roll bar, steering damper, polybush upgrade and a twin sports exhaust. The interior of this stunning Land Rover has received the same treatment and now benefits from sound proofing, privacy glass, four twin USB sockets, double din Pioneer touchscreen stereo with Bluetooth integration and reversing camera, navigation with Apple CarPlay, upgraded front sports sets and a Momo steering wheel. Further upgrades to the exterior include a towbar, black chequer plating and a full led lighting pack. This really is one of the most impressive examples of the iconic Land Rover we have offered and is presented to auction with a V5C registration document and an MoT test certificate valid until March 2022.
