Version produced from 1998 to 2006, the year of the transition to Ford-derived mechanics. Fitted with an engine newly developed by Land Rover to meet environmental regulations, and further improve the power and torque delivery of this timeless off-roader. The TD5 engine has 122hp, electronic management and 300Nm of torque @1950rpm, and features improvements to comfort, brakes, greater refinement and lighter ride, and instrumentation. Full restoration inspired by Heritage Limited Edition HUE166, created by Land Rover to celebrate the model’s 68-year career. Bodywork repainted in a pastel sand colour, with matching wheel arches and Alaskan white roof, new seals; chassis sandblasted and repainted with rustproofing. Totally refurbished interior with dark brown heritage fabric, embroidered Land Rover logos and HUE166 label, perforated leather steering wheel, aluminium gear lever knobs and door handles, alcantara-covered headlining, new side panels, original heritage badges as well as all fitted accessories and aluminium door hinges. New front and rear light kits.
Mechanics cared for in every detail and totally restored; new components replaced for the clutch, alternator, starter, wheel bearings, discs, brake pads, steering damper, suspension kit, bushings and struts. New Goodyear Wrangler tyres (5) on Wolf heavy-duty rims and original Land Rover Heritage mudguards.
