Description

THE THEME 8.32 IDEA
As long ago as 1955 first Lancia-Ferrari, the D50, triumphed on the race tracks of the world to win the World Formula 1 Championship.
Today this prestigious team triumphs again with a saloon unmatched for comfort, pure sporting style, driving enjoyment and power.
That's the Thema 8.32. A super-refined Thema with an 8 cylinder Ferrari engine built to Lancia specifications, four valves per cylinder and a total displacement of 3000 cc. On the threshold of the Nineties, Lancia and Ferrari throw out a new challenge to the high class motoring world.
With the same passion, the same love, the same craftsman's care for the car they displayed over thirty years ago. In Turin. As in Maranello.

THE STYLING
Form and aerodynamics. Appeal, emotion, class. Tight, smooth surfaces with never break or a corner. The air slides unhindered along the body.
Caresses the prestigious Lancia grill in chrome trimmed steel. Flows along the bonnet, the windscreen and the flush side windows.
Aerodynamically external rear view mirrors with demister and electrical adjustment. Wiper incorporating a deflector for perfect adherence to the windscreen even at high speeds. Clean, elegant, high tail. Perfect road holding under side winds. Meticulous research into negative lift at high speeds. Miniskirted sides. The Thema 8.32 combines consumately elegant styling with mathematical exactitude to ensure an ideal attitude even in near impossible conditions. Even at 240 km/h. In the great Lancia tradition.

ENGINE
The engine on the Thema 8.32 is the most exciting achievement of the Lancia-Ferrari team. Lancia by Ferrari as it says on the cylinder head.
Combining the indomitable pride of a thoroughbred with the flexibility of the perfect engine for the modern flagship of a prestigious marque.
Eight V-shaped cylinders set at a 90º angle, 2927 cc, 32 valves (four per cylinder), 215 bhp at 6750 rpm. Maximum torque of 29 mkg at 4500 rpm; 24 mkg at only 2400 rpm. Top speed: 240 km/h. Acceleration: 0-100 km/h in 6.8 secs. 0-1000 m in 26.8. The KE-3 Jetronic electronic injection and sophisticated Magneti Marelli ignition ensure fuel economy and reduce exhaust emissions. In fact, the 8.32 engine conforms to the EEC 04 amendment to the antipollution laws. With no need for any additional equipment. The eight cylinder engine is even more ductile at low revs preserves all its original sparkle and brio at low speeds. The outstanding torque is already available at around 2000 rpm to ensure prompt response and entertainment even in town driving. But it's on the road that the Thema 8.32 really shows what it's made of.
Brilliant pick-up, unrivalled acceleration, a crescendo of power in the authentic Ferrari tradition. And uncommonly agile on mixed routes too.

EXCLUSIVENESS
The Thema 8.32 is as exclusive as its unique accessories: round based instruments with black double lit dials set in a burr walnut leather edged panel.
The wrapround facia holds an odometer, a rev counter and six dials for water thermometer, oil thermometer and pressure gauge, control system, engine function check panel, fuel level. 5-spoke Speedline cast aluminium wheel rims. Extra low profile 205/55 VR 15 tyres designed by Goodyear especially for the Thema 8.32. The retractable spoiler designed for the Thema 8.32 preserves the purity of the design while ensuring extra negative lift at high speeds . The retracted spoiler is lodged in a special cavity inside the boot lid and the driver decides when he wants to use it. To do this he merely turns a knob to trigger the electrical pulse that raises the spoiler to adjust the air flow to the speed of the car, thus increasing the aerodynamic load on the rear axle. Burr walnut door panel inserts.

This particular Lancia Thema 8.32 Ferrari was first registered on 28th January 1988. Finished in the delectable colour combination of Grey Metallic over a Brown leather interior, showing 107,000 km on the odometer, this car has been well looked after and maintained.

The car has a Dutch registration, which can easily be used for registration in any EU country.
