Description
"Named after the Roman road leading from Tortona to Turin, the Fulvia was introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in 1963. It had a 'Narrow Angle' vee configuration which allowed a single cylinder head to cover all the cylinders with one cam each for intake and exhaust valves and proved highly successful both on the domestic market but, more noticeably, in the rally world where, for a time, it swept all before it. Starting with the classic Series I model it was then updated to the Series II and finally to the Fulvia 3 in 1974. Visually identifiable by its matt black grill, it also featured more comfortable seats with headrests and more modern white-faced instrument dials.
This rare Fulvia 3 left the factory in 1974 arriving on our shores in 2017. Its current owner stripped the car back and had it repainted in the original factory colour paying particular attention to the door shuts. The seats have been clearly retrimmed alongside fresh carpets in the cockpit. New Cromodora 6Jx14-style painted alloy wheels and tyres have been fitted all round and, as a nod to its competition heritage, the car has been de-bumpered (originals supplied), matching competition Group 4 wheelarches added as well as the addition of correct Carello yellow fog lights (with covers). The engine has been overhauled with new disc brakes and pads fitted, all electrics are confirmed as fully functional and it comes complete with a full 12-month MoT test certificate.
