The Lancia Flaminia handed down the tradition of the House to call the models as the main Roman roads, in this case, the reference was to the Via Flaminia that leads from Rome to Rimini.
This model was the tip of Lancia production in the 1960s/1970s until it was replaced by the Aurelia, also a great flagship of Lancia.
The Flaminia was produced in sedan and coupe version, the convertible version was made by touring bodywork.
In addition to Pininfarina, the prestigious Touring Superleggera bodywork, from '59, also made variants of Flaminia: the GT, GTL and Convertible. Built of aluminum, they proposed a more youthful look and deviate from Pininfarina's original proposal that embodied the classic commander coupe.
The Flaminia Touring carriages were immediately distinguishable from the four round headlights and the shorter and slender cockpit. Thanks to its beauty and elegance, this car remains one of the most fascinating iconic models of the last century.
