Description

Lancia Delta is a car that has entered the hearts of millions of motorists and enthusiasts from all over the world. A car that is legend, of which we remember the first generation as that of a mid-range car produced by Lancia from 1979 to 1993 in a total of 525,231 units, including the sports versions.

In 1980 it was awarded as Car of the Year, then made in four series: the first between 1979 and 1982, the second between 1983 and 1986, the third between 1986 and 1990, and the fourth and last between 1991 and 1993. Not to mention the “Evoluzione” models made by Maggiora until 1994. In 1993 it was replaced by the second generation Delta.

In the second series, the Lancia Delta 1600 HF Turbo is greatly appreciated which, with the GT, was powered by a Lampredi 4-cylinder twin camshaft of 1585 cm³ in the aspirated version with carburetor and electronic Marelli Digiplex ignition of 105 HP or turbo with carburetors with a power of 130 CV. In the third series the GT 1600 becomes GT ie with 3 more horsepower and lower fuel consumption, the HF Turbo with injection goes instead to 140 HP. In the fourth series, the HF Turbo versions are instead updated in the front, with split round headlights and a rounded bonnet.

The Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione was born in 1991, what we also know as Delta Evoluzione or just Evo, to distinguish it from previous versions. In a more "affectionate" way it is also called "mythical Deltona" among enthusiasts. Its production is concentrated between 1991 and 1993 in the 16v and 8v versions catalyzed for the Swiss market, and then it is also produced in the 16v variant catalysed from 1993 to 1994, what we call Evo 2

The Delta Evoluzione boasts wider track, more bonnet and side arches, new brakes and suspensions, a more robust steering box, more eye-catching headlights, brand new side skirts, better electronics and a wider exhaust, with single tailpipe. The turbocharged four-cylinder delivers 205 hp and 300 Nm in the Evo 1 and 210 hp and 310 Nm in the Evo 2
