Legend has it that Ferruccio Lamborghini, a successful manufacturer of air conditioning and tractors, bought a Ferrari and found it wanting. He took it back to Maranello and, infuriated by the haughty reception he received, vowed to make a better car. Before long, Lamborghini was established as one of the world's most desirable marques.
